Actress Moon Geun-Young is about to return.

Moon Geun-Young has been offered the leading role in the new SBS weekend drama "Cheongdam-dong Alice". She is looking through the offer and although it migh
t take time for her to make up her mind but at least there is a chance she might come back soon.

Moon Geun-Young has been taking a break for 2 years since the 2010 drama "Marry Me, Mary!".She has been offered roles here and there but she didn't find the right one. "Cheongdam-dong Alice" is written by Kim Yeong-hyeon who also wrote "Deep-rooted Tree". Based on a firm based original, Moon Geun Young should be able to be seen soon.

"Cheongdam-dong Alice" is an original based on Lee Hye-kyeong's "Chungdam-dong Audrey". It is about a mysterious woman who has been camping out in front of a high quality brand store and the man who owns it.

Park Si Hoo to meet Moon Geun Young in “Cheongdam Alice”

Actor Park Si Hoo is expected to make his comeback in the new SBS weekend drama “Cheongdam Alice”.*

According to multiple news reports on August 14, Park Si Hoo is seriously considering starring as the hero in “Cheongdam Alice” (scriptwriters Kim Jin Hee & Kim Jee Woon, Producer/Director Cho Soo Won).

An official of Park Si Hoo’s entertainment agency commented on this story: “Park Si Hoo is considering ‘Cheongdam Alice’. In addition, there are other works under discussion. He has to plan his Filmography carefully and details will be announced soon.”

The drama “Cheongdam Alice” is based on the novel “Cheongdam Oh Duri”. Park Si Hoo plays Cha Seung Ho, the world’s youngest chairman of a luxury goods distribution company (who is suffering from a traumatic past relationship) and Moon Geun Young plays Han Se Kyung, a Cinderella character [who sells fake brand names - ED: this is from another source.] “Cheongdam Alice” dramatizes the unexpected love between the two in a world dominated by wealth and explores the true meaning of marriage.

This is Park Si Hoo’s first drama after his very successful MBC “Queen of Reversals” and KBS2 “The Princess’s Man” and also Moon Geun Young’s much-anticipated return to TV after a break of two years.

Meanwhile, this drama “Cheongdam Alice” is scheduled to follow “Five Fingers” on SBS and will be broadcast in December.

* Cheongdam-dong is a ward of Gangnam-gu in Seoul, South Korea. It is referred to as “Fashion and Art Street” of Gangnam which has 50 shops for imported foreign brands, local fashion designers’ shops, and 30 galleries near the upscale Galleria Department Store in Apgujeong-dong towards Cheongdam Park. The street is also called “Rodeo Street” (a reference to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California) or “Yuppie Street” since a lot of professionals who are in their 30′s are major customers of the shops which sell expensive clothes. kely male lead.



According to multiple broadcasters on the 14th, Park Shi Hoo received the offer to play the male lead in 'Cheongdam-dong Alice' and he is positively reviewing it.



A representative from his agency confirmed this with Star News via a phone call, saying, "Park Shi Hoo was offered to appear in 'Cheongdam-dong Alice' and he is reviewing it. Besides this project, he is also reviewing other projects. He plans on carefully deciding and confirming soon."



'Cheongdam-dong Alice' is based on a novel 'Cheongdam-dong Oduri' by Lee Hye Kyung [read the original novel storyline here]. The new upcoming SBS weekend drama 'Cheongdam-dong Alice' is expected to premiere in December after 'Five Fingers.'

New Drama 'Cheongdam-dong Alice' is Perfect for Moon Geun Young?

With news of actress Moon Geun Young's possible casting in new upcoming SBS drama 'Cheongdam-dong Alice' [ read here ], interest in the new drama is heating up.



The drama is based on a novel 'Cheongdam-dong Oduri' by Lee Hye Kyung and is a romantic comedy. The original novel is about a girl who is unable to trust guys, having been betrayed by her first love in first year university. She lives a tough and determined life, raising her nephew/niece following her older sister's death.



As her goal in life is to open an internet shopping mall, she works as a designer who copies luxury brands. The story begins with her meeting the made lead.



The male lead is the president of a luxury brand shop in Cheongdam-dong. He takes notice of the female lead who is frequently visible near his shop and makes her an offer to spend one night with him. The two then become close, like lovers but because of a reunion with her first love and being caught up in events for copying luxury brands, multiple unfavorable conditions cause them to drift apart.



However, the two meet again but the objection from the male lead's mother causes them to once again encounter difficulties. With the help of her parents and friends, they eventually marry as the story ends with a happy ending.



A representative from Moon Geun Young's agency Namoo Actors revealed in an interview that while it is true that Moon Geun Young has received a casting offer for 'Cheongdam-dong Alice' and is reviewing it, as of yet, nothing has been decided.

Moon Geun Young is Reviewing 'Cheongdam-dong Alice' for her Comeback in 2 Years

Moon Geun Young is coordinating her comeback.



A representative from Moon Geun Young's agency spoke to Newsen over the phone on August 10th and revealed, "Recently, a proposal to star in 'Cheongdam-dong Alice' was received and she is (favorably) reviewing it." If she confirms to appear in the drama, it will mark her comeback on the small screen since 2010 KBS 2TV drama 'Marry Me, Mary.'

'Cheongdam-dong Alice' is a drama based on the novel (photo of cover above) 'Cheongdam-dong Oduri.' It is about a strange and suspicious girl who has lived camping out in front of the luxury shops in Cheongdam-dong for 3 years, and the story revolves around the happenings that ensue after her encounter with the CEO of one of its luxury shops. The drama will be penned by Kim Young Hyun, who wrote hit sageuk dramas 'Queen Seon Duk' and 'Tree with Deep Roots,' as well as Kim Jin Hee who the writer has worked together with before.



Since the end of 'Marry Me, Mary,' Moon Geun Young has received several project proposals and has been on a two year hiatus. Meanwhile, she has been devoted to her studies and has been cautious in selecting her comeback project.
